Big Brother Canada's 'Insight Productions' wins Academy Icon Award

Insight Productions the legendary production team behind Big Brother Canada has won this years Academy Icon Award!

Insight Production Company Ltd. has won the newly minted Academy Icon Award on its 35th anniversary, it was announced  by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television.
Insight Productions has produced  the most-watched reality program across all specialty channels with Big Brother Canada. 

An undeniable powerhouse for 35 years, Insight Productions has firmly established big format television programming and interactive digital media in Canada. The Amazing Race Canada, Big Brother Canada, and Top Chef Canada drew unprecedented ratings and critical acclaim every week,” described Academy Chair Martin Katz. “Insight’s long history of producing the biggest hits year after year and their support of the Canadian screen industry decade after decade has earned them this recognition. The Academy is proud to honour Insight Productions with the inaugural Academy Icon Award; may they have many more hits, may they have many more anniversaries.”
The Academy Icon Award is an Academy Special Award presented by the Academy Board of Directors to mark important achievements in Canada’s screen industry.
